Indepence Day
I spent this 4th of July in Erie, PA. I've never been there before and fell in love with Presque Isle. I took a boat cruise around Lake Erie during Sunset and then watched the fireworks from the island itself. There is a quite a bit of history in Erie, including the naval battle over the lake and Commander Perry tricking the British. It is really riveting stuff!

Ocean City
My family owns a condo in Ocean City and I decided to finally take a break and utilize it! During the weekend I was there, Ocean City hosted an Air Show. We spent a few hours there on the beach before the fogged rolled in and here are some of the fantastic tricks I caught on camera.

Boudoir
I recently did a boudoir session with an upcoming bride, and she of course looked stunning. I'm very excited for her wedding this coming fall!

Surgery
Ugh. Ok, so for those of you who don't know, I was in a car accident last March. Fractured my tibia, tore my MCL and Meniscus, fractured some carpels in my hand...did lots of fun damage. My knee is still unhappily un-whole, after months of physical therapy and doctoring, so....
...my New Years Eve will be spent in surgery. Simple knee scope to repair the tear and hopefully that will work, or they'll have to go back in and take out the torn part. I'm not worried about the pain of it all, just the anesthesia. I know, that's a ridiculous thing to be nervous about.
I'll be out of commission for about a month and will make my 2009 debut at the DC Bridal show :) Wish me luck!

Random cuteness

Here is a picture I took of one of my cats while he was sleeping. I thought it was too cute not to share.

Emily & Zach
Emily and Zach were married during a gorgeous Catholic Ceremony then rode a trolley (how cool!) to their tented reception in Baltimore. The weather wasn't too chilly, and everyone seemed to have had a great time. The band was amazing, and even invited Emily to join them.

Twilight
So...I've fallen under the Twilight spell. I had a few friends suggest I begin reading the books, but I never did. Then I saw the preview for the movie, and one of my favorite actresses (ok, my girl crush) is starring in it. I decided to begin reading the series before the movie so I did it the right way this time (unlike Harry Potter and Narnia).
I devour books, and was through with the series within 1 week. I went to meet Kristen Stewart (girl-crush) at Fair Oaks mall, and then saw the midnight viewing of the movie. (Yes, I realize I'm a total dweeb). I definitely enjoyed the books more than the movie, but I'm still looking forward to the second movie.
Here is a video of K-Stew @ the mall. Ignore the screaming teenagers.

Holidays with MIL
We went to my mother in law's for Columbus day, and just enjoyed a day off. A mini-vacation we like to say. It was nice not having anything to do but eat BBQ, watch football, nap and just be. Did I mention that my mother in law is our family Martha Stewart?
